MPA Policies.


To create a safe and supportive environment for members, we will review all membership applications prior to becoming a member, and each financial year following membership.

The Muslim Professionals Association reserves the right to decline or revoke membership to people found to be in violation of these rules or values of MPA. Apparent breaches will be investigated as required and member(s) involved will be warned or unsubscribed as appropriate. Members must align to MPA’s objectives.

By signing up as an MPA member, you agree not to use MPA to do, or attempt to do, any of the following:

  • Post, email or otherwise transmit any postings or other materials that are unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, invasive of another’s privacy, or racially/ethnically/religiously/sexually or otherwise objectionable;

  • Use or share materials that infringe upon any patent, trademark, trade secret, moral right, copyright, right of privacy or publicity or other proprietary rights of any party;

  • Harass another member of MPA;

  • Solicit, collect or post personal data or attempt to solicit, collect or post personal data about other members of MPA.

Members are expected to:Provide accurate and valid information, including personal information, and any shared information;Make payments on time, where applicable.

MPA IMPACT Event - Refund and Cancellation Policy (Non-Refundable)

1. General Policy

All registration fees for the MPA IMPACT Conference are non-refundable. By completing your registration, you acknowledge and agree that the Muslim Professionals Association (MPA) incurs significant upfront costs for venue rental, catering, equipment, security, and program

delivery. These costs are committed well in advance and cannot be recovered in the event of a cancellation. This policy ensures that the conference remains financially sustainable and accessible to the

community.

2. No Refund for No-Shows

Registrants who do not attend the conference, arrive late, or leave early will not receive any refund or credit. This includes missed meals, workshops, or keynote sessions.

3. Special Circumstances (Discretionary Review)

The MPA may, at its sole discretion, consider refund or credit requests in the following exceptional circumstances:

• Serious medical emergency

• Death of an immediate family member

• Emergency travel disruption with documentation

Approval is not guaranteed, and administrative fees may apply.

4. Event Cancellation or Postponement

If the MPA cancels the conference for any reason, registrants will receive a full refund or may choose to transfer their registration to a rescheduled date.

If the conference is postponed, registrations will automatically be transferred unless the registrant requests a refund in writing within 14 days of the postponement announcement.

5. Force Majeure

The MPA is not liable for refunds, damages, or expenses caused by events beyond its control,

including:• Severe weather

• Public health emergencies

• Government restrictions

• Natural disasters

• Venue shutdowns

• Any other unforeseen circumstances

In such cases, MPA may offer credits for future events, but refunds are not guaranteed.

6. Membership Entitlement & Conditions

By registering for the MPA IMPACT Conference, attendees automatically receive MPA

Membership for the 2026 calendar year. This membership grants access to MPA

programs, communications, and member benefits as defined by the organization.

All members are bound by:

• The MPA Code of Ethics

• The MPA Principles and Values

• All current and future MPA membership terms and conditions

Registration constitutes agreement to uphold these standards.

Right to Suspend or Cancel Membership

The MPA reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership at any time, at its sole

discretion, for violations of:

• The MPA Code of Ethics

• Organizational policies

• Misconduct that harms or may harm the association, its reputation, or its members

Membership suspension or cancellation does not entitle the registrant to a refund of conference

fees.

7. Agreement to Terms

By registering for the MPA IMPACT Conference, you agree to all terms outlined in this Refund

and Cancellation Policy.

Muslim Professional Association – Dress Code Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Dress Code Policy is to promote professionalism, respect, modesty, and unity at all Muslim Professional Association (MPA) events. Our appearance reflects our values, our community, and the excellence we strive to uphold within the premises of Islam.

2. General Guidelines for All Participants, All attendees—members, volunteers, and guests—are expected to dress in a way that

supports Islamic values and professionalism.

2.1 Modesty & Respect

• Clothing should be modest, not revealing or tight-fitting, and appropriate for a Muslim community-oriented environment.

• Outfits should cover the body respectfully and avoid attire that may be distracting.

2.2 Professional Appearance

• Wear clean, tidy, and presentable clothing suitable for a professional or semi-formal event in-line with Islamic Dressing Code for brothers and sisters.

2.3 Cultural Inclusivity

• Participants may wear cultural or traditional attire as long as it aligns with Islamic modesty guidelines.

• Hijab, kufi, abaya, thobe, and other cultural dress in line with Islamic dress code and framework are encouraged.

2.4 Fragrance & Hygiene

• Maintain good personal hygiene.

• Brothers to keep fragrances light and respectful of participants with sensitivities.

• As per Islamic principles, sisters are discouraged to wear perfume which attracts attention and defies the very purpose of hijab

MPA is committed to fostering sincerity and excellence in professionalism, inclusivity, dignity, and Islamic values. Our dress and outward presentation are reflections of our internal character.

3. Additional Guidelines for Leaders/Speakers

Speakers are representatives of the organization and serve as role models for the community. Their presence directly influences participants, including youth, aspiring leaders, and new professionals.

3.1 Leadership Through Appearance

Speakers are reminded that as leaders, we guide the current and future generation towards goodness, professionalism, and righteousness. Our attire should reflect:

• Integrity

• Respect for Islamic values

• A commitment to excellence

3.2 Professional Modest Attire

Speakers are expected to:

• Dress in professional, modest, and polished clothing.

• Avoid casual or overly trendy clothing that may detract from the message being delivered.

• Ensure clothing is clean, neatly pressed, and appropriate for a formal speaking role.

• For men: modest attire such as dress pants, thobes, blazers, or other suitable modest clothing.

• For women: modest dresses such as hijab, abayas (preferable), loose & long tops with trousers or long skirts, or other Islamically appropriate attire.

4. Respectful Enforcement If attire does not meet the expectations outlined above:

• A discreet and respectful conversation may be initiated by the event lead or organizer.

• The goal is to maintain a welcoming and respectful environment while upholding the Islamic values of the organization.

5. Closing Note

MPA is committed to fostering sincerity and excellence in professionalism, inclusivity, dignity, and Islamic values. Our dress and outward presentation are reflections of our internal character.
